Something For Everyone
The Page Museum at the La Brea Tar Pits is one of the world’s most famous fossil localities, recognized for having the largest and most diverse assemblage of extinct Ice Age plants and animals in the world. We welcome groups of all shapes and sizes, from summer camps and after school programs, to bus tours and college classes. The Museum and Tar Pits are sure to fascinate everyone in your group!
Paid Group Admission Rates
The Self-Guided Visit program allows your group to tour the museum at your own pace for a discounted admission fee. The Paid Group Discount is available to groups of 10 or more qualifying individuals with 72 hours advance notice. (Qualifying individuals are those people who would not normally be admitted free of charge; Members, Teachers, Active Duty Military Members, Children Under 5, and USC Students do not count towards the 10 person minimum.) Group admission prices for Self-Guided Visits are:
- $10 for adults
- $7.50 for seniors (62+) and college students with valid ID
- $7.50 for youth (ages 13-17)
- $4.50 for children (ages 5-12)
- Children 4 and under are free
Free general admission on the first Tuesday of every month except July and August.
Take a tour
There are two daily, weekday, and three weekend public tours that offer an expert overview of the history, geology, botany, and fossil collection of Rancho La Brea. There are currently no private guided paid group tours being offered.
Scheduling Your Paid Group Visit
Your group is welcome to visit the Museum anytime during Museum hours, 9:30 am – 5 pm, seven days a week. To schedule your group visit, please use the online reservation system. Once you submit a request through the online system, please allow 48 hours for us to process your request. Scheduling Your School Group Visit
School groups (California accredited and home schools grades pre-K through 12) visiting the Museum Monday through Friday may qualify for free visits. Please read the School Visits page for more information and reservations or call us at (323) 857-6300 ext. 111.
